Brand new edition of Kip’s Tips, this time heavy on the music scene because there are so many options across the state. Pair that with some solid sports and #ETHDenver going on at the Convention Center you have every reason to keep your happy butt out of the downtown area. Here are a few ideas for you to enjoy.
Option 1: Nuggets vs. Grizzlies battle as the top two teams in Western Conference. I know I just said to stay out of downtown but with the Joker going for his third straight MVP and playing against the human highlight reel in Ja Morant, I’d brave the crypto nerds to catch this action.
Lets celebrate the 303 Day (aka: Colorado’s birthday) in style. If you are happy raging in the snow and enjoying some of the best musicians in our state, Winter Wondergrass is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. They are bringing out all the big guns so pack up the car, sell a kidney and snag tickets on the secondary market for this weekend party in the mountains. It’s a blast, every year.
The next music moment is a little different vibe. Do you know what mothballs smell like? Well Disco Biscuits are playing two nights at Mission Ballroom this weekend. So if you’ve ever wondered… here is your chance.
Food stuff! Denver Restaurant Week starts today, from now until the 12th of March. VisitDenver is doing their best to showcase the great restaurants we have in the community. Check out their website to see a list of all participating restaurants. It’s longer than my arm which means there’s something for everyone!
The last item is probably the coolest thing going this weekend but you will have to brave the ETHDenver scene. Nathanial Rateliff and the Colorado Symphony Orchestra are playing Boettcher Concert Hall downtown. Nater (as I so affectionately call him) is a local boy with deep roots in the Denver community and he always drops a hammer when he plays a local show. Give me a drink and lets dance!
Alright, I’m going to get mimosas for breakfast. Until next weekend!
