My apologies, I took last week off. If I wrote a blog about weekend things it would have been exclusively Super Bowl parties. All that being said lets put the missed blog in our rear view mirror and look to the action ahead. For this week’s selection of what’s worth checking out we’ve got a few things from our friends in the community: 
Philly Phood Phest presented by Little Arthur’s Hoagies. On Sunday, Denverites and North Easterners will converge at the same location to eat to their heart’s content. AJ Schaffer, Chef/Owner of PPP has invited restaurateurs, chefs, musicians and artists to come together to recreate a taste of their home. Tickets may be sold out but you can always check out AJ’s social media pages and see if more will drop!
Karma House. Lakewood’s popular kava house is celebrating their second anniversary all weekend long! With events, pop-ups, artists and vibes overflowing their location on 608 Garrison St. Kava and Kratom clubs/houses/bars have started popping up around the country while growing their community. The buzz is palpable about this weekend (pun intended). If you haven’t visited the Karma House before this is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the scene and try something new!
Concerts for the weekend: Obviously you can check JamBase to see the whole list of shows in Denver and the mountains but wouldn’t you rather take my word for it? SunSquabi is at The Ogden on Friday and Saturday as well as the SoFar Sounds Secret Pop Up Series. If you only have one night for jamming Kyle Hollingsworth from String Cheese Incident will be at Cervantes — which is always a good time!
Rocky Mountain Record Show (RMRS) is back in town! If you don’t know about this you have to check it out! The RMRS takes over the Sports Castle on Broadway. It has 10,000+ vinyls for sale from over 50 vendors plus food trucks and all sorts of other action. Tickets are $25 but a little birdie told me we’re gonna give away a few tickets for early entry!
