First off, My apologies.. I’ve been missing in action the last month. If you missed out on a cool event that you would have otherwise attended had you known about it before hand- thats on me, sorry.
Second off, if you’re gonna get back in the action of “weekend partying”; what better weekend than Memorial Day to dust off the keyboard and huff some duster. If you’re not headed up the hill for the first official weekend of camping, then here is a list of things you should check out:
Boulder Creek Fest – It goes all weekend in Boulder, free to attend but there are some pay to play activities as well. Creekside Beer Fest in particular. Either way you go- there’s live music, food vendors & brews flowing like the creek… check it out if you’re looking for some outdoor activities
Denver Q Fest – Throwing down near the stadium, is 50+ vendors serving up all the smoked meats & snacks that make BBQ so famous. World Champions, Local Businesses & thousands of people!! Tickets are still available, so pick a session & head downtown.
Chromeo – Some folks are sticking around town this weekend to shake their tail feather.. if I had to guess, the #1 go to for the weekend will be Chromeo at Red Rocks. But the Magic Beans are up at Mishiwaka, The Gasoline Lollipops are at the Gothic… there’s tons of tunes worth checking out this weekend.
Friday Night Bazaar: RiNo – Once a month, the RiNo neighborhood alliance (or HOA or whatever), throw a small business bazaar next door to the Rally Hotel. If you’re looking to kill time waiting on a Death & Co reservation, or maybe just walking the Larimer mile… swing through and check out the vendors.
Denver Art Fest – Sat & Sun this weekend. They’re throwing the party in Central Park at the Conservatory. There’s wine & beer, food vendors and tons of local artists! Stop through, support the local community & get that new piece for above the mantle.
Aight, that’s it. I’m going to drink for the rest of the weekend. Shoutout to Colorado Limited for the spring threads.. I’ll be looking sharp while partying!
