Get ready to Float On and put on some Surfer Rosa this September in Vail. Coming to Vail’s Gerald Ford Amphitheater on September 2nd is a joint tour featuring Modest Mouse, The Pixies and Cat Power. An Alternative Rock delight high up in the beautiful mountains of Colorado.
The Pixies (formed in Boston in 1986) were pioneering college/alternative rock band who’s album’s Surfer Rosa and Doolittle are heralded as some of the best ever to be released in the late 80’s. Meanwhile, Modest Mouse had several huge hits in the 2000’s which include the afore-mentioned Float On and Dashboard (featuring Johnny Marr of The Smiths fame).
